There, we will join the villagers and farmers in their daily activities and learn about their culture. We will also visit the market, where they sell vegetables, fruits, fish, and other products, as well as the primary school, where we will see how the children are educated in Cambodia. Finally, we will visit some pagodas and interact with the Buddhist monks, who will bless us with a ceremony.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will take a boat trip to see the Mekong Dolphin, a wonderful animal that lives in the Mekong River. Then we will drive to Mondulkiri, and on the way, we will visit a local market and discover how the Khmer villagers live. Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant. Drive 3 hours to Senmonorom, the capital city of Mondulkiri province. Check in to your hotel.

 Meals:  Lunch

 Accommodation: Hotel in Mondulkiri

Mondulkiri is known for its elephant treks, which you can enjoy in the villages of Pahlung and Putang, near Sen Monorom. These treks can last from two hours to two days, depending on your preference. Elephants are essential to the villagers here, as they are both useful and respected.

Treks take you through quaint villages and forest edges, while longer ones explore the deep jungle that few see. Walk in the stunning jungle and spend a whole day with the elephants, following two groups in the morning and afternoon. Discover the elephants, villagers, forest and preservation. This is a very special experience and the only one in Cambodia !

 Meals:  Lunch

 Accommodation: Hotel in Mondulkiri

Early morning, visit the local market where many of the Phnong people from the nearby villages are coming to trade with their distinctive baskets they carry on their back. Drive to Bou Sra about 40 km northeast from Sen Monorom. This waterfall has two cascades and is among the biggest and most spectacular in Cambodia. Discover the Phnong village of the same name. On the way back see numbers of hilltribe villages and the scenery countryside. After lunch, you will be driven approximately 3 hours and plus to Ratanakiri capital Ban Lung, affectionately known as dey krahorm (‘red earth’) after its rust-coloured soil. Arrive at the hotel of your choice and enjoy your free time.

Ratanakiri is a home of natural beauty that provides a shelter for a mosaic of minority peoples with their own different languages, traditions and customs, as well as the forests, glorious waterways, waterfalls, lakes and grass plains, all of which can be explored. Near the border of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, there is a gorgeous forest called the Tanop forest. We offer a fun and exciting 2-day trek in this forest. A boat trip on the Sesan and O’Lalai river takes you to the Koklak/Lalai community forest. Trek through secondary forest and ‘Engage Indigenous Communities’.

 Meals:  Breakfast

 Accommodation: Hotel in Ratanakiri

Departure time is at 8:30 am, we leave the northern direction, board a local boat that takes us a short distance upstream toward the mouth of O’LaLai, a small river. We travel by boat on this beautiful river for 30 minutes to tribe community.

At the beginning, the trek passes through patch forest ,secondary and agricultural areas ,after an hour , we’ll reach the rice paddy fields of the Kavet indigenous community . Take a lunch break at one of the local families. After lunch we’ll soon enter the primary forest ,the trek goes up and down hills in the dense jungle .During the actual trek we’ll take a regular break ,our guide and ranger will explain you of the many natural resources and you’ll enjoy the surrounding as well as to rest a little bit . We will reach the campsite by a tiny waterfall at about 4:30 pm, where you can take a refreshing bath after the trek. Our guide and ranger will set up the hammocks and campsite for the night. They will also cook dinner for you. You’ll have a lovely dinner by candle light.

 Meals:  Lunch, Dinner

 Accommodation: Camp or hammock

Notes: From December 15th to mid-March, we will use Motodup instead of the boat to travel. A local ranger will meet us at Lalai village and lead us on the trek.

Get up at 7:00am for breakfast. We’ll trek a loop on different tracks with beautiful panoramic views .This off the beaten track, you can expect primary dense jungle, and randomly see gibbons, monkeys, birds, deer… At noon we’ll reach a local family at the rice field. We’ll stop for lunch.

In the afternoon we’ll carry on trekking to the village. We say “Goodbye’’ to our ranger and then take a boat back to Veun sai. We have a transport ready to take us to Banlung. We are estimated to be back in town around 5 pm.

 Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch

 Accommodation: Hotel in Ratanakiri

Meet the guide and driver, explore the city of Banlung and then drive to Stung Treng, a calm town that is not very attractive, but has many travelers going to Laos. The town is not very well-maintained, but it has beautiful sunsets and nice people. The one attraction of sorts is a weaving co-operative at the eastern extremity of town, which is worth visiting both for its lovely fabrics and to support a worthwhile cause. Arrive at the hotel you chose and enjoy the rest of the day as you wish or choose to discover the town with your guide and car, exploring the area and watching the sunset from a tranquil spot.

 Meals:  Breakfast

 Accommodation: Hotel in Steung Treng

We will take a brief boat ride to O’Svay, where our paddling tours will begin. We will discover the Ramsar Wetlands area, which extends southward along the Mekong River from Laos to Stung Treng. It is a boat-only area, where rare mammals, birds and fish live in a special forest that is flooded by the river.

It is a paradise for photographers. With only birdcalls announcing our presence, we maneuvered our way leisurely downstream for a couple of hours before reaching the only village on this stretch of the river, Veun Sien, where we beach our kayak for lunch break. Our paddling tour of the forest continues until one point that you feel enough, and then we return back to O’Svay by boat before heading onward to Preah Vihear province.

 Meals:  Lunch

 Accommodation: Hotel in Preah Vihear

Early morning wake up to catch a beauty of sunray and the fantastic cliff-top view of the Cambodia’s most dramatically situated Angkorian monument, 800m-long Prasat Preah Vihear is perched atop an escarpment in the Dangrek Mountains – with breathtaking views of lowland Cambodia, stretching as far as the eye can see.

Drive down the hill and continue an hour onward to the abandoned to the forests, Koh Ker temple, and capital of the Angkorian Empire from AD 928 to AD 944. Reach the sprawling jungle temple of Beng Mealea. Built in a similar style to Angkor Wat by King Suyavarman II in the early 1200s, Beng Mealea came before and might have been a model for Angkor Wat. Contrary to Angkor, few carvings or bas-reliefs are evident.

Today the temple is largely overrun by vegetation and the stone walls are crumbling which adds to its charm in a unique way. Accessibility has improved as elevated walkways have been set up throughout most of the temple, although to see all corners does require a sense of adventure as you will need to climb over stone blocks or walk through narrow passageways. Driver on to Siem Reap.
